Cette œuvre est le résultat d’une configuration programmé sur un échantilloneur Ensoniq EPS 16+. Plusieurs procédés, dont la modulation aléatoire de fréquence, ainsi qu’une variation d’un point de boucle sont appliqués à un court échantillon de réinjection d’un microphone dont le résultat est un mélange aléatoire qui est néanmoins prévisible. En appuyant plusieurs fois sur une même touche on obtiendra toujours une nouvelle séquence d’événements. |
| Notice (en) : | The title of this work is inspired by Spinoza’s famous statement: Omnes determinatio negatio est. (Every determination is a negation.) The work is the result of a “patch” programmed on an Ensoniq EPS 16+ sampler. Various processes, including random modulation of frequency and loop position, are applied to a short sample of microphone feedback effecting a combination of the aleatoric with a certain degree of predictability. Any instance of the same keypress will initiate a new sequence of events. |
